The Oberpfaffenhofen site is approximately 25 km west of Munich on the Munich-Lindau motorway (A96). There are several ways of getting to DLR:
By public transport from the airport:
From Munich Airport, take S-Bahn line S1 towards Ostbahnhof or S8 towards Herrsching. If you catch line S1, you will have to change to line S8 at "Laim". Line S8 does not require any changes of trains and you can exit the train at either "Neugilching" or "Wessling". You can walk to DLR from there (approx. 2.5 km from either station) or catch a bus or taxi.

A permanent taxi service has been operating from S-Bahn station Weßling (distance to DLR 2.5 km) again since April 2007. Taxis are also available from S-Bahn station Unterpfaffenhofen-Germering (distance to DLR 12 km).
By taxi from the airport or the city of Munich:
A taxi to DLR will cost approximately 80 Euro from the airport (approx. 45 min) or approximately 35 Euro from Munich city center (approx. 30 min).
By train:
Take the train to München-Pasing or München-Hauptbahnhof (Hbf). Then take S-Bahn line S8 for Herrsching and alight at Neugilching or Weßling station. You can walk to DLR from there (approx. 2.5 km from either station).

By car:
Motorway Munich-Lindau A 96; exit 32, Oberpfaffenhofen. Turn left towards Herrsching/Oberpfaffenhofen/Weßling at the motorway exit traffic lights. You will see the turnoff for DLR after approximately 800 m on your left.
